I haven't blogged here in a while, not sure why. So recently KH 3D came out in Japan, I saw a few gameplay videos and it seems to me pretty badass, expecially because the lot of new worlds and bosses added in it (including the Mysterious Figure revealed apparently...).
As for now, I'm not planning to buy it until it gets translated in English. The 3DS has the downside of being region locked, so if Square takes even more time with trying to dub the game in other languages (since European reviewers are always upset about the voice acting being just in English), it'll come out months after the NA release like it happened with KH2. At least I've heard rumors about the game being localized anywhere in Summer. I believe most people now got the bundled version with a Japanese 3DS.
As for the game, the battle system is about the same of BBS. I didn't like it as much as the one in KH2 (even if I'd liked a lot more if the quick time events were not just based on mashing the Triangle button), but it's still bearable. The bosses seem to be very challenging to me, even though I haven't seen much of them and Riku will be a playable character. It also has some fun to play minigame like in KH2, and I remember having a good time with them.
As for recording, since I know somebody would ask me about it, I don't know any way to capture footage from a 3DS, and apparently recording with a crappy shacky camera in potato quality seems to be the only possible way. Just because I have lots of experience with the Kingdom Hearts games, I'd be able to play it even blind (but it's still unlikely), and about challenge videos I totally won't be able to nail them off if I play the game for the first time.
After this game, BBS Volume 2 will be released (and I believe it'll be on PSV), and then Nomura might work on a console sequel. I don't really care on what system it'd be, I'm just missing playing Kingdom Hearts on consoles.
